Going to art school you do a whole lot of life drawing. You see more naked people of every age and stage than you can imagine. One of the models, a favourite to draw, was this great big juicy girl. She had the most enormous backside and boobs, but her waist was, in comparison, super tiny. Charcoal lines swooped and curled and the nuances of light and shadow danced across the paper as we drew her. The fact that she was a real woman with perfect imperfections made her a great muse and unwittingly a person of influence who has come to inspire all of my Chubby Art creations.

Who is the Crazy Author / Illustrator?

Alison Galvan is an award winning artist whose work is collected through galleries and online by art lovers from around the world. Originally from British Columbia, Canada, today Alison resides in St Catharines, Ontario where she and her husband are planning their next adventures now that their children are grown and have flown the coup. Alison has a passion for artistically narrating the stories of colourful chubby people. More often than not she finds herself in hysterics by her own life’s ups and downs as well as the follies of her friends and neighbours.
